Walk like an Egomaniac

It's not enough for the wannabe to follow the U.S. misfit around the globe. He now ends his speeches with "God bless Canada".

One wonders if J has W's approval? Or does he mutter 'But less than America"?

KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- President Bush made a surprise visit to Afghanistan on Wednesday, his first to the country where U.S. forces ousted the Taliban following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Bush met with Afghan President Hamid Karzai during a five-hour unannounced stopover en route to India and Pakistan.

A group of low-flying helicopters carried Bush and his entourage from Bagram Air Base, the headquarters for U.S. troops, to the capital of Kabul, where he was received by Karzai.

OTTAWA (AFX) - Prime Minister Stephen Harper has made a surprise visit to Afghanistan's most volatile region to show support for Canadian troops deployed there as part of an international force, officials told Agence France-Presse.

'We want to make sure they understand their government and the population is behind them,' Harper said in remarks from the southern city of Kandahar broadcast over CBC television.

Harper left Ottawa Saturday for his two-day unannounced visit, and arrived by military aircraft.

(One wonders why he didn't borrow the "Mission Accomplished" banner.)
